  • So, the people in the Bush Administration who are charged with analyzing the cost and benefit of offshore drilling are telling us that we can’t expect any significant increase in production for at least 18 years after exploration and development had begun. Even then, the expected effect on oil prices is insignificant.

  • Once again: This is Bush’s own Energy Information Administration telling us that offshore drilling will have no effect on oil prices.
  • I just thought I’d post the link to this report because the drill-and-burn crowd seems to have swept it under the rug.
  • Maybe those bored Republicans who are vacationing on the House floor could entertain themselves by reading the report.
